Vacancy:       Marriage and Family Life Project Worker (Fixed term 2 years)

Hours:           Part Time – 15 hours per week

Salary:           £11,700 per annum (FTE £27,300)

The Northampton Roman Catholic Diocesan Trust is a registered charity (234091) and serves the Catholic community in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the part of Berkshire which lies to the north of the river Thames (Slough).

We are currently seeking to appoint a Marriage and Family Life Project Worker to develop Catholic Marriage Preparation in the Diocese of Northampton. The successful candidate will support the parishes and pastoral areas in evaluating current arrangements, identifying improvements to deliver effective marriage preparation, recruit and arrange training and generate local teams for marriage preparation in the pastoral area.

Applicants must have experience of project management. Experience in delivering pastoral projects within the Catholic Church is desirable.

Excellent communication, organisation and team working skills together with a commitment to the ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church are crucial.

The post-holder will be required to have a flexible approach in terms of working hours and may be asked to work additional hours on occasion.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the right skills and experience to make a valuable contribution to the development of marriage preparation in the diocese. There is an occupational requirement that the post holder must be an active, practicing Catholic with a commitment to the teaching of the Catholic Church.

Travel around the diocese will be necessary, so access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence is required.
