Appointments Service Administrator

Basic Details

This is a permanent contract of 8 hours per week with the opportunity,  and occasional requirement, to work more hours on a casual basis.

Location: Nottingham

Hours: A minimum of 8 hours per week (ideally worked on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons), with opportunity to work more hours on a casual contract basis. You will occasionally be asked to work additional hours (over the 8hrs/week) if service needs require this – this will be on a casual contract basis.

Salary: The rate of pay is £13.45 per hour with holiday entitlement accrued on a pro-rata basis. For any casual hours there is 12.07% enhancement for accrued holiday. We are an accredited Living Wage Employer.

Your Role

As an Appointments Service Administrator, you would be responsible for ensuring good outcomes for clients and volunteers who contact the service by providing a courteous, sensitive and efficient appointments service. The role requires handling calls sensitively from clients (who may be in distress) or volunteers and arranging appointments in accordance with service standards including maintaining absolute client confidentiality. For this role we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the first port of call for clients, volunteers and others calling our appointments line.
  • Arrange appointments in accordance with service standards.
  • To be able to work independently, and as part of a team.
  • To be able to be flexible in providing cover when needed to maintain service standards and relationships.
