Marriage Preparation Course Facilitator

Are you passionate about healthy marriages? We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals or couples who have an understanding of and positive commitment to the values of Christian marriage to present our marriage preparation courses for those getting married in the Church.

We get great feedback from couples attending our courses and from our volunteers.

Find out more about the role and the application process or email volunteer@marriagecare.org.uk

Qualified Experienced Relationship Counsellor

Are you a qualified relationship counsellor with over 150 hours of relationship counselling experience?

Would you like to help us in our mission to support couples in distress – with professional relationship counselling – regardless of their ability to pay? We welcome applications from people who share our passion for relationship health and who respect and are willing to engage with our values.

All of our counsellors offer a minimum of 84 counselling sessions per year – that’s just two hours of your time per week – two hours that could make a tremendous difference to the lives of couples and individuals in your community.

Receptionist/Chaperone

Do you enjoy meeting people and putting them at their ease? One of Marriage Care’s most valued services is our relationship counselling. However, we cannot offer this service without a chaperone (receptionist) to welcome clients and stay in reception during the counselling session. We are looking for a friendly and helpful volunteer to spend a couple of hours on a weekday evening, sharing with other volunteers. We will pay local travelling expenses to the premises.

Team Assistant

Do you like to assist with the smooth running of events and help teams in service-delivery? We are looking for a friendly, people-person to help assist with registration and catering on marriage preparation course days, or other specific promotion or publicity events or team-meetings as necessary.

Find out more about the role and the application process or email volunteer@marriagecare.org.uk.

FOCCUS Facilitator

Are you are a good communicator with experience of marriage within the Catholic Church?   If so you could train to be a FOCCUS© Facilitator and use this questionnaire based relationship tool to help prepare couples for the lifelong commitment of marriage and understand their relationship better.
