Marriage Preparation Course Facilitator

Are you passionate about healthy marriages? We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals or couples who are either practicing Catholics with personal experience of marriage in the Catholic Church or married to someone who is Catholic, to present our one-day marriage preparation courses  (usually held on Saturdays) for those getting married in the Church.

We get great feedback from couples attending our courses and from our volunteers.

Find out more about the role and the application process or email volunteer@marriagecare.org.uk.

Qualified Experienced Relationship Counsellor

Are you a qualified relationship counsellor with over 150 hours of relationship counselling experience?  Would you like to help us in our mission to support couples in distress with professional relationship counselling regardless of their ability to pay?

We welcome applications from people who share our passion for relationship health and who respect and are willing to engage with our values.

Find out more about the role and the application process or email volunteer@marriagecare.org.uk

Receptionist/Chaperone

Do you enjoy meeting people and putting them at their ease?  One of Marriage Care’s most valued services is our relationship counselling but we cannot offer this service without a receptionist (chaperone) to welcome clients and stay in reception during the counselling session. We are looking for a friendly and helpful volunteer to spend a couple of hours on a weekday evening, sharing with other volunteers. Local travel expenses will be paid.

Find out more about the role and the application process or email volunteer@marriagecare.org.uk

Team Assistant

We are looking for people to help on marriage preparation days (usually Saturdays), serving refreshments, registering couples and assisting as necessary at centre meetings and the occasional publicity event.  This is a great team- role and a chance to be involved in our marriage preparation days.

Find out more about the role and the application process or email volunteer@marriagecare.org.uk

Parish Liaison Officer

Would you like to help Marriage Care by building mutually supportive relationships with local clergy and the catholic community, promoting Marriage Care services and volunteering opportunities within local parishes?  We are looking for someone to deliver pulpit talks or talks at deanery meetings and taking part in events.

Find out more about the application process or email volunteer@marriagecare.org.uk

FOCCUS Facilitator

Are you are a good communicator with experience of marriage within the Catholic Church?   If so you could train to be a FOCCUS© Facilitator and use this questionnaire based relationship tool to help prepare couples for the lifelong commitment of marriage and understand their relationship better.
