Equipes Notre Dame Teams – GB is an international Catholic movement supporting married couples through ‘Teams’ – 4 to 5 couples who meet regularly to eat together, pray and share the ups and downs of married life.

Marriage Encounter – a worldwide movement, Catholic in origin and ethos, offers weekends for couples who want to deepen and enrich their relationships

Retrouvaille is a residential weekend programme which is designed to help married couples

Two in One Flesh offers a series of publications about marriage to enrich couples in their life together.

Debt and Finance

These are difficult times for all of us, especially where money is concerned. Financial pressures are often an issue for couples who come to Marriage Care, but possibly the current recession is bringing additional strains to your relationship.

There is no set fee for our counselling- we ask you to make a contribution to our costs where you can, but money is not our first concern, so call now.

If you need someone talk to in confidence about your financial problems, contact Debtors Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problems with money and finance – www.debtorsanonymous.org.uk

Consumer Affairs is a nascent not-for-profit organisation registered in England and Wales, offering debt and money advice to consumers via free guides and reports published on their website – www.consumeraffairs.org.uk


Family support organisations

www.nfm.org.uk  National Family Mediation is the largest provider of mediation in England and Wales. Their services specifically assist couples who are in, or have been through, the process of separation or divorce, and the children who are impacted by this. Mediators help clients to reach joint decisions about the issues associated with their separation, including children, finance and property.

www.familylives.org.uk  Family Lives is a national charity providing help and support in all aspects of family life.

www.oneplusone.org.uk  An organisation which creates resources to help couples, parents and practitioners tackle issues early.

www.familycaring.co.uk  Community-based relationship education for parents, couples and young adults.

www.familyandchildcaretrust.org The Family and Childcare Trust aims to make the UK a better place for families, through research, campaigning and information provision, and working with government, employers and parents to reduce pressures on family life.
