Why is marriage preparation important?
Most people prepare and plan for the big things in life - passing exams, moving abroad, changing career or planning for their retirement - and getting married is no different. It has been estimated that the average couple will spend up to 250 hours organising every detail of their wedding day. But very few invest time in planning for their life together afterwards. Yet research shows that time spent working out the 'nuts and bolts' of what you expect from your marriage is much more likely to lead to a relationship that is stable and happy and lasts the distance.
