Supporting Marriage, Relationships and Family Life
WHO WE ARE
Marriage Care is a charity operating across England and Wales, from 54 Centres, with 80 counselling locations. Our volunteers are mainly though not exclusively drawn from within the Catholic community.
We were established in 1946 in response to the pressure on family relationships following the Second World War. The world has changed dramatically in the past 60 years, but the need for support, education and help in the relationship field remains as great as ever.
WHAT WE DO
We provide marriage preparation, relationship counselling, relationship education, a telephone helpline. We also offer general support and advice to those who want to marry or enter long-term relationships.
HOW YOU COULD HELP
By volunteering to work in one of the above areas; or by offering administrative or management support to one of our Centres; or by making a financial donation towards our work.
HOW WE CAN HELP YOU
If you are experiencing difficulties in your relationship, call our telephone helpline (0845 660 6000), or make an appointment to see a counsellor. If you are getting married, make an appointment to receive some marriage preparation, contact your local centre. For further information click here.
